Chicken sausage sauteed with green peppers, mushrooms & onions with a side of stuffing! Hmmm...Hmmm!!!

I did very good this weekend considering I tend to struggle a lot more on weekends because they are less structured. You never know what you will be doing or where you will be for your next meal...LOL

I chose not to weigh in this week because I was not feeling it even though I KNOW I did well with eating & exercising.

Ceviche de tuna - served on BAKED Tostitos scoops


For those who are counting calories this meal was about 322 calories. There were 14 of them but I ate 2 of them before I could take the picture, I was hungry!!! I even had a little ceviche left over but quickly finished it... :-) It was a very delightful lunch... ;-)

Lessons remembered.

Ever since I can remember, I have been drawn to information on health and overall physical fitness, if I see a magazine or book on the subject, I pick it up and read an article or two. over the years some of the information I have read has served me well when training to meet a weight or reach a better physique, and although I always seem to fall off, its good to know some things that help you in your eating habits or workouts for when you do regain your focus, I want to list a few things I have read over the years that have helped me, and certain thoughts I have come up with myself.

1. Compliments are our worst enemy. When someone tells you you look great, it attacks your focus, most of us will not realize it but unconsciously your determination is being attacked, not by the person giving the compliment, but by the compliment itself. before you know it, your ultimate goal has been reduced, as the compliments keep piling up your goal soon becomes nonexistent, and you fall into the old habits, the bad habits, the bad life, and the shorter one.

a solution to this and maintaining your focus on the original goal is simple, be conscious of the above, and rather than letting the compliment hurt your journey, use it to help you, focus on how good it feels to receive that compliment, and work harder than you did yesterday to collect as many of those as possible (especially since it was spoken with the best of intentions and to motivate you further).

in the end, if your goal should be altered, most likely it will be for the better.

For those of you who have disclosed ur weight... These r the numbers so far. And of course that is optional. Anything can happen in the next 11 weeks. I lost 4 lbs but thn ate like i had not eaten for days... That is my problem, I binge too much. But hope these numbers motivate the all of us and help keep us on track.... BLANCA.... CONGRATULATIONS!!!! U R the BIGGEST LOSER WEEK #1 that we know of : ) GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US in the next 11 weeks. those numbers were by weight percentage.

Since its martin luther king day today.... i was off n so was all of my family since we work at banks and schools. So My weekend wasnt over till today,,,, n we got together at OLD country buffet. it was delicious....... I felt so guilty afterwards. : ( OHHH WELLL!!! I'll try harder next weekend cus I was good all week. Down 3 lbs.
Helloooo.....Helloooo....Anyone out there!!??? lol

I made through this weekend, not too bad...lol

See, I was not always FLUFFY!!! Look I actually had a waist line... :-) I may not reach this goal with this weight loss challenge but if can get half way there it will have been TOTALLY worth it!!!! This picture will be my inspiration to keep me going if I start to fall off the wagon or I have to fight off temptation!!!
FYI... for those with a sweet tooth or craving snacks I recommend "Extra Fruit Sensations" (gum) to take the edge off the hunger & temptation!!! Its backed by The Biggest Loser. Its compact to carry with you at ALL times. :-)

I have been here before over and over again. I know it is not easy and have many weakness but I cling to hope that one day I can be at a healthy weight and look as HOT as I did in my younger years...LOL I am inspired to keep motivated and truly make positive life style changes which I can carry on after this competition.
